The TRACT Optics Impact Ballistics mobile application is a valuable tool that offers precise data for long-range shooting enthusiasts, from seasoned marksmen to beginners. It boasts one of the most extensive information databases available today, encompassing data from various modern ammunition manufacturers. Shooters can effortlessly align their TRACT rifle scope reticle with their specific cartridge by selecting their scope and corresponding ammo/bullet. The program automatically calculates bullet drop information tailored to the selected reticle.
If your ammunition type is not listed, simply input the Ballistic Coefficient (B.C.) and Muzzle Velocity to proceed. The Impact program allows users to import real-time weather conditions to provide up-to-date Bullet Drop Compensation, aiding in accurate shots whether in the field or at the range. While the app functions seamlessly offline for ballistic data, it offers expanded access to a library of educational videos, articles, and blogs when online.
Within the app's Learn section, users can explore resources such as Getting Started guides for Rifle Scopes, Binoculars, and Spotting Scopes, along with Pro Shooting Tips featuring instructional videos on optimizing optic performance. Additionally, customers can conveniently browse and purchase Optics and Accessories directly through the app.
Continuously updated with new ammunition details, product launches, and videos, the app provides a plethora of customizable features including distance units (Meters or Yards), Drag Table, Spin Drift, Sight Height adjustments, Printable Dope and BDC cards, load comparisons, atmospheric conditions input (manual or automatic import), wind conditions, sight zero calculator, and more. Capable of delivering ballistic data up to 2,500 yards, the program offers BDC and Dope cards for streamlined reference on bullet drop at various magnifications and detailed performance metrics.
Weather/Atmospheric conditions can be conveniently sourced from World Weather Online or manually entered for Temperature, Altitude, Barometric Pressure, Humidity, and Bullet Wind Drift factors incorporating wind speed and direction. The Sight Settings section is particularly useful for zeroing rifles at extended distances beyond the shooter's current range capabilities.
